The air is fresh today with the smell of new growth and the promise of a fresh start to a new day! I love spring and aside from Christmas, Easter is my favorite holiday. Spring is the quintessential season to celebrate Christ’s resurrection and give us a reason to pause, take a deep cleansing breath, and try again to do a little better; be a little better than we were yesterday.

It’s also that time of the year when the house smells like vinegar, hard boiled eggs, and you go through more food coloring in one day than you do the rest of the year. The most creative we ever get with colored eggs is writing hidden messages or pictures in white crayon that shows up once they’re dunked in the food coloring, vinegar bath. We always make a ton and the inevitable aftermath is making deviled eggs! I love the good old fashioned deviled egg, but sometimes a little twist to an old favorite makes you love them even more.
