Blackberry Yogurt Dipped Watermelon Pops (Gluten Free)


That's kind of a mouthful to say, but that's okay since you'll probably kind of have a mouthful of these clean eating, gluten free, healthy, homemade treats! These are perfect for a cinco de Mayo party, a simple dessert at a barbecue, or just as a healthy alternative to the sugar and food coloring Popsicle for the kids this summer. 

And you can mostly avoid the sticky, drippy mess of eating a juicy watermelon just by freezing it on a stick! Freeze chunks of watermelon and it's just like a Popsicle...only better. Freeze with this homemade blackberry yogurt and you've got a deceptively fancy dessert. 


Blackberry Yogurt Dipped Watermelon Pops

Seedless watermelon, cut into popsicle sized chunks

popsicle sticks or wooden skewers cut in half

1 cup fresh blackberries, pulsed in food processor or smashed with potato masher = 1/2 cup

1/4-1/3 cup raw unfiltered honey (depending on how tart your berries are)

1/2 cup homemade greek yogurt

Mix honey with the mashed berries then combine with the greek yogurt. Stick your watermelon chunks onto the sticks and dip in the blackberry yogurt. Lay on a wax paper lined cookie sheet and stick in the freezer overnight or for at least 2 hours. 
That's it! Doesn't get much easier to make a clean eating, gluten free, refined sugar free, yummy treat!
